Age Verification on Woope: Building a Safer Community
Keeping Woope safe and welcoming has always been one of our highest priorities. Today we’re introducing Age Verification, a new system designed to help protect younger users and ensure that everyone on the platform meets our minimum age requirement.
Why are we introducing age verification?
Woope is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. This isn’t just our own policy—it also aligns with legal requirements and industry standards followed by many online platforms.
By verifying a user’s date of birth, we can:
* Create a safer environment for everyone. * Comply with privacy regulations and platform policies. * Prevent accounts from being created by children under the minimum age. * Improve trust across the Woope community.
How does it work?
When you sign up for Woope, you’ll be asked to enter your date of birth.
For existing users who joined before this feature was introduced, Woope will request your birthday the next time you sign in if it hasn’t been provided yet.
Your birthday is securely stored and used only to verify your eligibility to use the platform.
What happens if someone is under 13?
If our system determines that a user is under 13 years old, their account cannot continue to use Woope.
The account will be securely removed, and the user will be informed that they do not meet the minimum age requirement. If this happened due to an incorrect date of birth, they can contact our support team at support@woope.eu.
